It all started when the great fire erupted,
Out of a star, a huge, mighty ball,
Explosion led rocks to combine and form the earth,
'Twas the day of the big bang, when began it all.
It all started with plankton, on the surface of lakes,
Trees and birds and apes followed, and eventually homo sapien,
Who was blessed with brains enough to rule the planet,
God's greatest creation- the most powerful, intellectual men.
It all started with harmony, and solace and bliss,
Tranquility abode under an eternal shade,
No selfish intentions, no shrewd implications,
In the lap of Mother Nature, all calm prevailed.
It all started back then, way before science developed,
And that apple fell on the top of Newton's head,
Human, then, had not realized the powers science held,
And the pathway to achievements that the same led.
It all started with advancement in technology, and revolutions,
As more industries and factories and workplaces sprang up,
Exploitation took its first breath in an all new atmosphere,
'Twas like removing all ambrosia from a mixed potions' cup.
It all started with peace but culminated into war-
With nature and her beauty bringing limitless joy,
Now all that's left is a barren stretch, with Her silent tear,
A marred earth- as if played with like just another toy.
It all started way back, when man assumed all powers,
Destroying all elegance, making beauty extinct,
Birds no longer chirruped, leaves no longer bustled,
Everything approached their end- cause? The unrecoverable dent.
It had all started long before, at the day of the Big Bang,
The place once like Paradise was now losing its power to defend,
Deterioration, death, destruction, devastation, doom- all did dwell,
For why? Nuclear explosion by mortals had caused the world to end.
