Reminiscence

Lay the lonely lady by the lifeless ladder,
Her azure eyes blinked once or so,
She repeated her question again awhile,
The answer to which she wanted to know.

She asked the cause of the misfortune,
The true cause, the true reason,
Why did the life of the bud, half bloomed in the freeze,
Come to such an end with the setting sun.

The rays of the day sank deep down into the ocean,
Without a thought, without a moment's waste,
Dawned the dark of the dead with the doomed display,
Engulfing the beauty, the best in haste.

When did it all begin, she remembered it well,
Reminiscing about the past, the fun filled frolic,
Brought a curve on her lips, water in her eyes,
How the fire came in the blown candle's wick.

The moist eyelids met one another,
The drop ran down onto her cheek,
When she was suddenly startled by the waves' roar,
The thunder made the vividness all the more weak.

She witnessed the waves lashing against each other,
Playfully giggling in the lap of the sea,
Watched it with a smile, but with a void intellect,
She wished to be back there, at the same time not to be.

She turned back and searched for miles and miles,
Hoping to find a familiar face,
Disheartened she was to find no one present,
Stretching across the vast field was only sand on the base.

With the head held low and the spirits fallen,
The lady let out a deep, painful sigh,
The turbulent tears trickled down in the turmoil,
The only word flashing in her mind was, "Why?".

Why did it happen, in the past,
She tried to ask the question again,
Standing there, perplexed, in search for a reply,
She tried to reason, but all in vain.

Standing stiff and still, as if a statue,
Her hair brushed her brow with little of her heed,
She kept thinking of the thought that led her to choose,
The one she did, without analyzing which way it would lead.

O how the dame desired to be there,
Yet wishing the memoirs-de-past erased,
Her crimson lips uttered words that were dumb,
Standing all abandoned by the waves, dazed.

It happened for good, it was figured out,
The universal truth unveiled itself from the disguise,
But did it, really? The question arose,
Or, was the truth a complete otherwise...

Unable to answer the self asked questions,
The lady blinked blankly at the blue ocean,
It turned dark, from flames to ashes,
The sphere submerged, the day was done.

It still left behind some unexplained explanations,
That lay flashing in the calm of the sky,
That lay resting in the depths of the waters,
And hiding beneath the dunes as the creatures nearby.

The meek maiden, without a clue to the same,
Walked on with steps sedate and a vacant will,
Made an utmost attempt to regain her poise,
The attempt failed, the scene continued still...

Lay the lonely lady by the lifeless ladder,
Her azure eyes blinked once or so,
She didn't repeat her question, because she knew,
The answer to the same she'll not be able to know.

Resolve

Spread the aura azure amongst the vacant cloud,
The day wrapped the charm in the silver shroud,
Furious flames forwent the fiery ferocity,
Lost its light of the lamp, the fragrance, the beauty.

'Twas then that I passed by the waves to calm the tide,
Sat on the grey overcast to take a ride,
The immense joy pierced through the invincible distress,
Come what may, now nothing can make the calm less.

Now I stand on a ground more true and tough,
Set in the way you want to, be it smooth or rough,
I've thanked you each moment, and always will,
For however you've marred me, you helped me still...

You made me strong by giving me pain,
You brought in delight as the bliss did drain,
Showered the stream of sorrows in the summer sun,
To shape the gold out of copper, to excel in the long run.

Without a remark or a frown, I always went on,
You believed the pretence with the smile I did don,
Kept working your will towards an indefinite aim,
Meted out your choice, as to a pawn in a game.

But the bane proved to be a real lucky boon,
As the sky bent down and whispered the moon,
"I assert the assortment of it all was an asset,
To guide you and mould you to receive the best of world's set."

So now even if I ought to tread on the lane of your choice,
You can no more make me lose my serenity and poise,
I'll win the victory, no matter what obstacles you might throw,
Through it all, the seeds of joy and peace I'll happily sow.

I'll show it to you that I'm not weak,
I'll not utter a word, for my actions will speak,
I will prove myself, not a puppet am I,
I can sing my own song, until the day I die...

Insurrection

Tried to be calm and composed,
Indifferent towards all  the factors,
External- but all of them opposed,
My serenity, making the conditions worse.

But not this time, this time it will,
Not deter me from my chosen lane,
Bring light of knowledge, and never will,
Prove to be any kind of bane.

Tired of every grave expression and of the sad pace,
The eyes bright all the more,
With a strong heart, ready to face,
The joys and sorrows knocking at my door.

A new dimension to the world has been sought,
With a subtle mind at the entrance,
A sounder mind, a healthier brain taught,
The key to a delighted life's commence.

To accept the fact, cease the wars,
With confidence and optimism I tread,
Life is not a bed of flowers,
Nor is it a thorns' bed.

Challenges are always awaited,
Never will the bliss' glory fade,
Sorrows will no longer be hated,
Come what may, I'm not afraid.

The Doom

A stone thrown out in the water,
Making ripples, it strides,
Circling around, lashing the shore,
In the end down the water, hides.

Sun shining brightly over the water,
Emerging from its place of rest,
A flower blooms, blushes in the sun,
In hope to experience life's best.

Air provided the comforting cushion,
With water which acted like a bed,
Provided warmth with the huge mighty ball,
With love and affection the flower fed.

New life set out in front of its eyes,
Opened its wings, tender and weak,
Blissfully taking in the melody of the world,
When, emerged the stone, playing hide and seek.

Free from the clutches of the sand,
Jumping around, the stone rejoiced,
Stretched its arms, lurking about the water,
Approached the flower with the devil in its eyes.

The flower saw it and trembled with fear,
Its veins went cold, its face turned white,
The stone came winking and without a second thought,
It turned on the flower with all its might.

The blue was horrified, the sphere was startled,
Having fed the blossom, the two could feel the pain,
Tried to prevent the flower getting crushed,
They tried their best- but all in vain.

The petals shrivelled, the stem crumbled,
The leaves fell down as in an October morn,
The beauty evanesced, the fragrance dissolved,
It slept forever before the beginning of the dawn.

There on the water, washed by the waves,
Cold and dead it lay,
The sea mourned, the star lamented,
At the end of a bud that had come not to stay.

A New Year

As the black turned to become a crimson hue,
The sphere shook off its sleep to evaporate the dew,
The birds sang in the freeze the sweetest song,
To mark the arrival of the day awaited for long.

The decade that was filled with sorrows and glee,
Is cold and gone- no more of it to see,
A fresh decade is knocking at the door today,
With its bag full of surprises, with a brighter sun's ray.

Come, let's greet this day with the smile in the eye,
With the heart filled with passion, with the heads held high,
Let us rejoice in the delight of a new awakening,
With a faith for the best, let the wish get its wing.

The dead year that marked the beginning of a celebration,
When we experienced life's most significant transformation,
Has lost its existence, it had not come to stay,
Time flew so fast and thus the year passed away.

It left behind the knowledge to learn things from,
To tread on with courage, to sing your own song,
To accept every challenge that life throws your way,
And emerge as a winner, come what may.

Paving the path to the prosperous peaceful palace,
To realize the dreams and win the race,
Here commences the dawn of a year yet again,
With the dusk of a decade and a new year's rain.

It's a new hope with a silver lining,
It's a new joy in the fresh morning,
It's time for a new spirit forgetting every fear,
It's time for the beginning of a new year!
